Carter Caves State Resort Park - Olive Hill

The autumn scenery from my balcony was amazing, and the quiet atmosphere made for a peaceful stay. I loved the clean, carpet-free room and the great shower in the bathroom.

The location was unbeatable by the welcome center. Booked a room with fresh towels🙂👌

The hotel was an ideal base for enjoying a family friendly area, so close to the beautiful park, the many wonderful adventures and amazing people and great hiking trails and a forested valley. The location was stunning and particularly good for our christmas. There was an attached restaurant nearby. We had a lovely stay and recommend this venue to family and friends.

Fine views and friendly staff

The peaceful mornings were spent admiring the amazing views from the balcony. The staff were friendly.

The trails had damaged signs, which caused some confusion while hiking. Thankfully, we managed to navigate back on track with minimal hassle.

The fine waterfall inside the cave was a highlight. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Don't miss the shoe washing experience before you leave! Remember to wear sturdy footwear for the stairs!

The views were amazing. The seasonal outdoor pool and leisure room were perfect spots to relax after our adventures. The only downside was a bit of noise from nearby guests, but it didn't ruin our stay at all 🌄

This place is perfect for families with kids! We loved the mini golf, the public pool, and the cave tours. The kids had a blast during the nightly activities, especially the tomahawk throwing!

A strong match for a city escape in Olive Hill with great value. The concierge gave us helpful maps and info on free activities. Consider trying the horseback riding for a fun experience.

Perfect for Family Adventures

We took the kids and had an absolute blast! The cave tour was one to remember, our guide was so full of energy and facts that even my 8-year-old paid attention. And don't get me started on the ice cream social, the kids had smiles that lit up the entire lodge!

The park is stunning, featuring beautiful trails and great scenery, though the lodge was somewhat disappointing with its dated decor and thin walls. A lovely spot to explore, just don’t expect luxury. Staff were friendly, and the cabin was clean.

The rooms are updated and reasonably spacious and complete with fresh towels and a refrigerator. The hotel provides an excellent and fine breakfast. The location of the property is unbeatable, near the beautiful park, the many wonderful adventures, and the restaurant attached to the lodge. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
